RM69.90 at Carrefour!!
Regardless of the
pricing issue, I think as a consumer I have my right to choose. I understand that bookstores business are not on good ground and would like to take this HP craze to recover and catch up.But withdrawing the sales altogether is not a very good idea. Jual ajer la, tak semua tempat ada Tesco/Carrefour. If people like to spend more to buy the same thing, let them be. Borders yang jual mahal pun ran out of stock.
Aaaargh tapi lantak la korang nak gaduh ke aper ke. The most important thing is.. buku tu dah dibeli.. mwahahahha.
For those who has finished the book, please.. don’t leave spoilers in the comment. Thank you.
During *the Boyfriend*’s birthday in April, I was out of idea of where to bring him for birthday dinner/lunch. We both are true ‘foodie foot’ (kaki makan) to the heart and yes we’ve sampled a lot from eateries around KL and out of KL. But my intention was to bring him somewhere we never went and the food must be superb, doesn’t matter if it’s just a simple food chain or fine dinings.
I got the idea after a lunch at Old Asia. I noticed when we went there (and Sushi King) he always ordered softshell crab. He ate it with gusto, I wish the portion is bigger (sebab aku pun tak puas makan). So I look around for Japanese buffet, so he can have never-ending flows of softshell crab. I used to frequent Oishi in Midvalley but that place already closed down. I read reviews for Saisaki, Ichiban, Zipangu, Shogun, Kampachi (Bangi Equitorial) and Genji (PJ Hilton). Shortlisted it to the latter two. I decided on Genji based on demographical factor and the fact that Kampachi allows not more than 2 ebi tempura per person each time you take. Aye? Please-lah.
The day finally came and.. he likes Genji!! I like it even more. At first I tricked him that we were going to Paya Serai. Come on lah boring la Paya Serai. There were continuous compliments on the restaurant ambiance and deco (and the food of course!). Yes, the softshell crab was there. Unagi was great, succulent and not a single thread of bones. Raw oyster, sashimi and octopus was so fresh the textures felt like jello. Don’t let me start with ebi tempura. Bak kata Chics, menggelupur okay. And teppanyaki, and beef sukiyaki, cold/hot soba aargh thinking about it makes me hungry. Although it is a Japanese buffet, if you’re looking for sushi, this is not the place, as sushi only covers 5% of the spread (they have standby chefs if you want made-to-order ones). But trust me, if you are there, you’ll end up stuffing yourself with other scrumpcious things.
The list are endless, and these pictures don’t do the justice. Banyak lagi tak sempat amik gambar because I was too busy eating.
Clockwise: Mix vege, unagi, breadcrumbs dory, baked salmon, japanese fried rice, fried udon.
Clockwise: sashimi roll, raw oyster, anak octopus, soya beans, sushi aper ntah and shashimis!!
*The Boyfriend*’s plate. More shashimi and ginger.
Clockwise: Chocolate cheesecake, dragon fruit aaaaand mochi!! they are so soft, apsal aku buat mochi tak penah jadi lembut macam tu
the best of all? mesti la matcha ice cream with azuki beans :)~~
*the Boyfriend* loved it so much we decided that this should be a regular affair. Not so regular until we grew tired of it, yet not so far apart. 2 months. Yeap that’s going to be the intervals. We first went on 30 April, but the pictures above are taken on 1st July. Now I can’t wait for 2nd September huhuhu
Have you ever feel so guilty it eats up your mind?
Last night after a tiring day at Sg Congkak, I came home, cleaned and fell asleep at the couch. I woke up around 2am when one of my cat, Comot is up for some loving - this is the time when he wants people to rub his tummy, wait for him while he eats and carried around like babies (yes my cats semua suka kena dukung, thanks to my mom). He mews and mews. I wanted to do some ironing which was very near his bowl. But no, he wanted to be rubbed and dukung. There’s no way I’m going to do the chores while he was like that. I put him outside (my cats sleep outside in their ‘hotel’) and closed the sliding door. Ops, he quickly made his way in. I pushed him outside few times and quickly slided the door close BUT this clever cat decided to put his front paw at the door. It was too late for me to stop
He didn’t shriek or mew but stared at me for few seconds and ran outside. I felt so guilty. I tried to test the pain with leaving my index finger and slide to door closed with the same speed, it hurts like hell. It must be worse for a soft paw kan? Sedihnya.
Later when I got into my room I found him waiting at the my window. I let him in and gosok the paw and saying sorry and all. However, I let him out again half an hour later because he was all excited and hyper and it was 3 in the morning demmit!
I told *the Boyfriend* about the incident and he asked me to give Comot his favorite food, Whiskas Pouch to pujuk him. And he’ll treat me dinner because I hurt myself as well - Science Diet (can I get IAMS instead?).
Jokes aside, I can’t wait to get home, rub and dukung Comot around. Already bought packs of Whiskas Pouch. I can’t even concentrate on working now.
Tell me, why did men married dumb, dependent and fugly (fukcing ugly) women, while the hawt, brainy and independent women left unwanted?
