December 2007

Now that I’ve been thinking about it, I can’t decide on which one should I pick for my resolution for 2008. Only one.

i) Will never skip lotion - I always skipped this if I’m too tired or late for work.

ii) Will wash face before sleep - I always skipped this if I’m too tired or had a bad day.

iii) Will wash car once a week - I’m not very good with keeping the car spotless and shiny all through the week like everybody else.

iv) Will keep my PC at home organized. This includes desktops, downloaded programs & most importantly, picture archives.

I still can’t decide.

However, I have few resolutions suggestion for ignorant Malaysian (cut me some slack, I’m trying to be angelic here).

i) Stop littering

ii) Make full use of signal indicator. Give signal EVERY TIME.

iii) Say ‘Thank You’.

iv) Say ‘Sorry’.

iv) Say ‘Excuse Me’.

v) Be punctual.

vi) Get in line. Don’t push.

v) Speak a languange EVERYBODY in the room understands.

vi) Don’t stare, don’t stare and don’t stare.

I’m not asking much, just pick ONE. Later at end of the year, pick another one for 2009. Together we can make Malaysia a better place to stay.

In random order.

1. I gave up coffee, for good.

2. I sorted my rubbish for recycling without fail.

3. I maintained my weight woohooo!!

4. Got myself a sister-in-law.

5. Traveled to Phuket, Singapore, Singapore again, Macau, Hong Kong, China, Bali again, Singapore again.

6. Discovered that under dress it always better than dressing like Indon hanyut (Indon illegal immigrants).

7. Discovered that sticking up for the sissy and lembik (feeble) friends will not do me any good. They will not stick up on you. They couldn’t even stand up for themselves, why in the world would you think they will stand up for you? I’m sticking only to independent friends from now on.

8. Bought myself a house! Double woohooo!!

9. Realized my right kidney is capable of producing crystals (not the gems, mind you). Drinking 3-4 liters of water daily doesn’t guarantee one’s health is going to be perfect.

10. I never thought I’d spent so much on fuel after I decided to drive myself to work starting February this year. But public transport in Kuala Lumpur is getting more unreliable. And so does the traffic.

11. I cut (and trimming it short) after maintaining 4 years of waist length mane.

12. I switched to ‘adult’ skincare products. At one point I just had to admit I’m not a teenager anymore.

I’m continuing my one resolution per-year for 2008. But the problem is, I can’t think of any yet. Any suggestion?

It was for my dad’s 60th birthday. I think I stared at my papers & mountain of stash for good 30 minutes just to decide what I wanted the card to look like. I don’t want the card to look neither girlish nor boyish. But I don’t want it to look too mellow either. Here’s what I came out with.

I chose the paper with vibrant color for the ‘boxes’ but came with matte and rough texture. And add some shiny strings for ‘bling-bling’ factor, so it’s not dull. He likes it :)

With USD currency getting lower and lower these days, I took this opportunity to stock up my cardmaking stuff from US and UK. They are far cheaper even after you add the shipping fee. Remember, most of imported goods are taxed. But when you buy from ebay or other online shop, provided you’re not buying in bulks, these stuff are tax-free. Shops with imported goods (they always buy in bulks) with tax imposed, will transfer the tax to you. But it’s good to know the range of price of the stuff you want at shops here and compare it online. I was thinking to reveal few craft items that are dirt cheap on ebay here, but I wouldn’t want the local craft shops to go bankrupt. Hehe.

This is latest stuff came in packs of mail last week. And more to come. So cute.

Almost 3 weeks back I was hospitalized for couple of nights due to tummy ache. 8 hours of excruciating pain and I was damn sure I wasn’t near my menses. To cut the long story short, it’s actually my right kidney giving some mild (if I can assume that) warning signals.

Anyways, that’s not my point.

The morning after my first night in the ward, my mother came and our conversation went something like this:

Ibu: So, how are you?

Me: Susah la (It was difficult), I couldn’t sleep.

Ibu: Why? Were you in pain?

Me: No, they switched off the lights.

Ibu: O_o

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I sleep with my lights on.

To whoever my future male roommate, instead of the Diamond, I would appreciate if you could propose to me with a light Dimmer. Preferrably the one with the remote. So after my pre-sleep reading, I can Dim the light a bit for you without getting out from bed.

Although that will make me sound like a lazy bum, you’ll be happy with the fact that I’m not much of jewelry and flower kind of person. Which obviously more expensive and doesn’t last long consecutively.

I made Tini a new card because it’s not Raya anymore. She’s a busy lady. And many times I spotted ‘busy bee’ on her IM status. Hence, the color i chose, black and yellow. I wanted to draw bees all around but couldn’t find the bee template as what I’ve pictured in my head. I wasn’t in the mood for drawing as well.

Here’s the outcome. Hope she likes it :)

The stem of the flowers were my first attempt of ‘faux stitching’. Okaylah for a first timer :P but I already set my eyes on this! The tool that I can use for faux stitching. Stampin’ Up Mat Pack!!
