I’ve been receiving lots of email asking how PayPerPost and SocialSpark work. I’m thinking of setting up one page like this just to share with my readers on how it works and why I’m doing it.

PayPerPost is a mediator in between advertiser and blogger. Through PayPerPost(PPP), advertiser will place an advertisement (which is called opportunity) and if the blogger wants to write about it, the blogger will reserve the opportunity and write an entry about it. The entry does not necessarily need to be written with marketing pitch, but it would be extra bonus if you have experience or knowledge in it.

How good are they paying, you asked? It varies depending on how much the advertiser wants to pay the blogger. But what if I tell you they pay a minimum of USD5 for each opportunity. Yes, they pay in US Dollar. $5 is a minimum, and I’ve taken many with $7, $10, $15 and once, the opportunity I took granted me $35.

If you can view my category ’studio fund’ you can see that I’ve written 90 posts to date (I’m writing this on 11th July 2008) and if you just assumed with a minimum amount of $5 and multiply with that posts, you can guess the minimum amount I’ve made.

This is not an MLM scheme because I gain nothing with your profits. I did this because I see there are growing bloggers out there and it seems that blogging has become a trend, so why not write to be paid? If this thing is a joke, why do you think my friends like Lucy, Snazzy, Raj, Bigg and also my Boyfriend did (and still doing) it?

Currently I’m not into that pay-per-click thingy. How many of you actually clicked on on advertisement banner on someone’s blog? I never did. And if you never clicked, why would you expect other people would click on advertisement banner on your blog, right?

That’s why I choose and still doing PayPerPost. Once my entry is approved, I will still get paid regardless 0 or 100 people click on anything or anywhere. Even if the advertisement I’ve written might not related to some particular readers, I hope it gives them a bit of insight and knowledge in any possible way.

You only need to have a blog, does not matter if it’s blogspot, livejournal, myspace, multiply or anything, only exceptional to blog with wordpress.com domain, sorry about that. Or you can have your own domain just like mine. Blog must be at least 30 days old. And, you must have a PayPal account. If you have a credit/debit card, you can open PayPal account straightaway. PayPal does not take any commission from this. Neither do I.

After you applied and your blog is approved to be in PayPayPost network, your first opportunity (which usually based on topic about PayPerPost) will grant you $20. After that other opportunities offered are based on your blog category which you would specified during registration. For example if you normally blog about gadgets, computer, toys and collectibles, just tick the category that corresponds to your blog. So most likely you’ll get something you have somekind of connection to write about.

There’s no obligation, you can choose which opportunity you want to take and write about.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at laydiefa[at]silent-echo[dot]org.

If you already joined but have inquiries about disclosures, rejected entries, payment or what nots, you can email me too.

If you applied and your blog is rejected for whatever reasons, don’t give up. Mine was rejected twice due to lack of updates prior joining. Hehe. You can apply again and again. No problem.

Perhaps you want to join the bandwagon straightaway? Just click on the badge below and register your blog. Let’s make loads of money!
